Before I come to the solution of this, let me inform you that I myself was trying to update iOS version on my iPhone 5s and could not update it due to no free space on my 16 GB iPhone :(

When I checked where my 16 GB utilized, I found major share from Photos in my gallery and Whatsapp media. I immediately tried to find how come Whatsapp has used more than 5 GB? And found, there are few Whatsapp group where I have more than 2000 medias!!

Delete Photos From Whatsapp Group

First question came in my mind was, How I can Delete Photos from Whatsapp group which is taking huge space of my Phone’s memory? I thought for a while and found 2 options as per below, which will help you to delete all images or media from your Whatsapp group if you are using iPhone and Android based mobile. This may also help you to understand how you can apply similar solution for your Java, Windows, Nokia or Blackberry too.
Option 1: Delete Photos From Whatsapp Group at Once

Yes, you can do this!! Let me teach you how?

Best way is, you can click “Clear Conversation” from group options which will clear full conversation, but still you may follow lengthy way as described below if you wants :(
  • Contact Whatsapp Group Admin that you are leaving group as you would like to erase all group medias which is taking huge space on your iPhone or Android mobile phone. So request him to Add you back immediately after you leave the group
  • Before leaving the group, send Whatsapp conversation in email. which will send you all medias in your email for backup purpose
  • Leave/Delete and Exit whatsapp group

Delete whatsapp group

That’s it. All the photos, images, videos was saved on your phone because of this group is deleted and you will have free space.

Even though, this method is fastest and best to Delete photos from whatsapp; there are few problems like below
  •     If admin of the group will not add you back :p
  •     If you are the Admin of the group, you may lose your role :)
  •     In case, you would like few of the medias out of all.
If you think above points is important and you don’t want to take a chance by deleting all photos from whatsapp group at once, you may use 2nd method as described below.
Also Check: Download Whatsapp Messenger for PC
Option 2: Delete Photos from Whatsapp Group one by one

Well, I know this method is boring specially when you have hundreds or thousands of media pictures and videos stored by your whatsapp group. But if option 1 is not suitable, you have only this option.

Well, even with this option, you may go inside “All media” section of the group and select all photos/videos you would like to delete and click “Delete” icon to delete all of them. But still you need to spend time behind selecting those thousands medias. :(

Anyways, I hope these 2 options will be useful for you and will surely help you to know How to Delete Photos from Whatsapp group and remove medias, pictures, images, videos from Whatsapp group to release free space for your mobile’s internal memory.

V Card is an electronic contact that is used to send information regarding contact details of someone in your contact list. The v card that were send by hackers had a malicious code in it that would dispense bot, ransomware and other remote access tools (RATs) on the sender’s phone or the system they are using.

Bots can harm in a different way by slowing down the system and asking them for ransom and to regain access to their own personal data whereas RAT has altogether a different concept of getting a remote access to a device.

WhatsApp to Share your Personal Data With Facebook

WhatsApp to Share your Personal Data With Facebook

WhatsApp to Share your Personal Data With Facebook
Recently the Facebook-owned messaging app dropped its $1 annual subscription fee to make WhatsApp Free for Lifetime.

Now, WhatsApp has plans to introduce a new feature that would allow its users to integrate their Facebook accounts with the most widely used messaging app.

So far, the social media giant has been focusing on its own messaging platform,Messenger and both WhatsApp and Facebook have been working separately in terms of adding new features.

WhatsApp to Share User Data With Facebook

Android developer Javier Santos spotted a new feature in the latest beta build of WhatsApp, which indicates that soon you’ll start seeing some features interconnected between WhatsApp and Facebook.
whatsapp-end-to-end-encryption
The feature (optional, for now), dubbed "Share my account info," when selected will share your personal WhatsApp account information with Facebook in order "to improve your Facebook experience," according to the description.

Although it's unclear how exactly the new feature works, it is believed that the feature may help you share photos to your timeline and create an album shortcut via WhatsApp or vice versa.

Facebook-WhatsApp Deeper Integration

From past two years, we haven't noticed any Facebook and WhatsApp integration, but this minor change made by WhatsApp raised doubt in our minds that Why the social media giant is merging WhatsApp with Facebook.

When Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 for over $20 Billion, CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that Facebook and Whatsapp would continue to co-exist as separate platforms.

At that time, WhatsApp team also assured its users that nothing would change and that the popular messaging app would operate independently.

However, this recent update considered being the first step towards merging the two popular platforms in an effort to take control of the popular messaging market and sustain growth together.

WhatsApp to Offer End-to-End Encryption

Moreover, The beta build of WhatsApp also includes a new section completely focused on users' privacy, indicating that the popular messaging service is looking to bolster security in order to make its user conversations more secure.

The new feature, dubbed "Show Security Indicators," will be imbibed in WhatsApp in an impending update. The feature is similar to the one Apple uses in its iMessage.

When enabled, the feature will encrypt all your chats and calls with End-to-End encryption, meaning users' conversations cannot be spied on; not even by WhatsApp itself.

This could be just a start, and we could see a deeper Facebook-WhatsApp integration in future that could even allow users to send messages between WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

Latest WhatsApp build reveals Facebook linking option

Facebook purchased WhatsApp for $19 Billion in year 2014. It has not changed much in its features, apart Voice Calling Features between Whats App users. It seems that Facebook and Whats App have been acting as two different bodies.
According to new leak, WhatsApp is looking forward to allow cross communication between WhatsApp and facebook accounts.
Just a week after WhatsApp proclaimed that it is not charging $1 as annual fee, and it further said that they are seeking to see new information that points to a convenient relationship between messaging service “WhatsApp” and its parental company, Facebook.
A German based blog leaked screenshots of a new beta build, which adds a new option for WhatsApp users to share their account details with Facebook to improve facebook user experience. It is still doubtful that how this integration will benefit facebook user. The users will have to agree some new service terms in the new build.
Facebook and WhatsApp worked like two different companies, even after facebook acquired this for $19 Billion in 2014. WhatsApp’s founder Jan Koum said that, WhatsApp Messaging Service will remain unchanged and will operate independently and user’s will not be affected. However, it seems that Facebook is entirely changing the statement as said by Whats’s App’s founder.
WhatsApp is popularly know for end to end encryption that safeguards users from being snooped on. The latest beta feature of WhatsApp is enabled with security tab which allows users switch on a setting to see whether their messages are encrypted. By default, messages are encrypted, depending upon what you select, but it provides user a new option which enables the user to see whether their messages are really safe.

Have a problem with WhatsApp? Here are the solutions

Have a problem with WhatsApp? Here are the solutions

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps out there, with roughly 10 percent of human beings actively using it every month. Given this volume of use, it's clear it gets a lot of things right, but today we will be concentrating on what it gets wrong. Here are some of the most common WhatsApp problems on Android and their solutions.

I can't install WhatsApp

In order to download the latest version of WhatsApp, you need to have a smartphone running Android version 2.1 or higher. You can check your phone's current Android version in Settings > About Phone.
If you're trying to install the WhatsApp app from the WhatsApp website, you'll need to have Unknown Sources enabled in your security settings. Go to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources to activate it.

WhatsApp now has more than 800 million monthly active users.

How do I install WhatsApp on a tablet?

If you have a tablet that only works with Wi-Fi, you will have problems installing WhatsApp, because you generally need a SIM card and a phone number to activate your WhatsApp account.
There is a solution to this problem. All you need is a working cell phone, your phone number, and our detailed guide on how to get WhatsApp on your tablet. A word of caution: if you play around with things that aren't normally allowed, you do so at your own risk.

Yes, it's possible to get WhatsApp on your Android tablet too.

I can't connect to WhatsApp

WhatsApp connection problems are usually caused by your Wi-Fi or network data connection. If you aren't able to send a message, here are a few solutions:
  • Make sure your phone is switched on (one for the newbies).
  • Install the latest version of the app from the Play Store (link above).
  • Check your internet connection, Wi-Fi or 3G (in Settings > Wireless and Network).
  • Make sure that a Task Killer app isn't affecting WhatsApp.
  • Empty the app cache (Settings > Applications > WhatsApp > Clear Cache).
  • Finally, the most extreme solution: uninstall the app and then reinstall it.

WhatsApp doesn't recognize my contacts

There are a few reasons why WhatsApp wouldn't recognize your contacts, so here is a simple checklist to make sure it does:
  • Make sure you have your contacts' correct contact numbers (the ones they use for WhatsApp).
  • Make sure that they are currently using WhatsApp.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp.
  • In your contact list, make sure all of you contacts are 'visible' and/or 'viewable'.
  • In your contact list, make sure all of your contact groups (friends, family, co-workers, etc) are set to 'visible' and/or 'viewable'.

Make sure WhatsApp is looking for all your contacts (right).

How do I add international contacts in WhatsApp?

We've all been there. You're traveling through South America on your gap year, and you're introduced to that guy in that hostel that you know you'll want to keep in touch with forever. You get his digits, and search for him in WhatsApp, but he's not there...
The solution is simple: when adding international contacts, you must always make sure you include the correct regional code (for example, +51 for Peru), even if your current number uses the same code. It might help if the other person does the same for your number too.

How do I block contacts in WhatsApp?

People block contacts for any number of reasons. I'm not here to judge. The process is very simple. To block a contact, all you need to do is go to the conversation with the contact you wish to block, tap the options button (the three dots), tap More and then tap Block.
You can add as many contacts as you like to this black list and then you won't receive any more messages from them. If you later decide you would like to unblock a contact, go back to the same place and choose Unblock.

Simply tap the three dots > More > Block to block a contact.

What does 'Last Seen' mean in WhatsApp?

The 'Last Seen' time stamp tells you when a user was last using WhatsApp. This does not necessarily mean that they have read your messages, only that they opened the application.
When you're in WhatsApp and one of your contacts also opens WhatsApp, you'll see their status change to 'Online' but again, this doesn't mean they're looking at your messages, just that they are using WhatsApp.

How do I hide my Last Seen timestamp in WhatsApp?

In WhatsApp, go to your Settings, then to Account, then to Privacy. In this menu, tap Last Seen and select Nobody from the options that pop up. This means that no one will be able to see the last time you had WhatsApp open. You won't be able to see when your contacts were last online either.

If you hide your Last Seen time stamp you won't be able to see other people's either.

How do I pay for WhatsApp?

There are different payment possibilities: Google Wallet and sending a payment link. Some older versions of WhatsApp still support PayPal too.
  • The first will give you the option via your navigator to pay with your Paypal account or by credit card.
  • The second pertains to your Google Wallet account, for which you can subscribe for easier app purchasing (you will need to give Google your bank account information).
  • The third one will send you a purchase link via email.

You have a couple of payment options, as well as being able to pay for a friend.

What do the blue check marks mean in WhatsApp?

There is a lot of confusion about what the two checks (or tick marks) in your WhatsApp message window mean. If you want a complete breakdown of all the markings in WhatsApp, take a look at our detailed What do the WhatsApp check marks mean? article, which also covers the microphone markings for audio messages.
Here is a quick summary:
  • The clock symbol means your message is yet to be sent from your device.
  • One gray tick means that the message has been sent and has been received by the WhatsApp server.
  • Two gray ticks mean the message has been delivered to the intended device.
  • Two blue ticks mean that the recipient/recipients have seen the message. (In group conversations, this means when all participants in the group have viewed the message.)

How do I stop people from knowing that I've read their messages?

As of WhatsApp version 2.11.444, you can disable the WhatsApp blue check marks (read receipts) so that users do not know whether you have read your messages. This works both ways, so only disable this if you're OK with not knowing who has read your messages too. Go to Settings > Account > Privacy > Read Receipts.

How do I delete my WhatsApp account?

Firstly, deleting your WhatsApp account and deleting the WhatsApp app are two different things. If you make the decision to cut ties with WhatsApp, you can just uninstall if from your device. You will be able to download it again from the Play Store later if you want to, but this is not the same as deleting your account.
  • To uninstall the WhatsApp app from your phone: go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Uninstall.
  • To delete your WhatsApp account entirely: go to WhatsApp > Menu > Settings > Account > Delete My Account and confirm your phone number. You also have the option to change your WhatsApp number associated with your account here.

Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account.

How do I disable media auto-download in WhatsApp?

While this is a super handy feature when connected to free Wi-Fi, auto-downloading media shared by your friends is not the best idea if you are near your data limit.
To disable this feature, go to Settings > Chat Settings > Media Auto-Download, and configure the options to your preference. Note that voice messages are always automatically downloaded, but their file size is usually much smaller than that of pictures and videos.

It's a good idea not to auto-download all media if you're low on data.

How do I share and send any file in WhatsApp?

WhatsApp has a relatively limited number of file types you can send: photos, videos, audio, map location, contact details. Even with those supported file types, WhatsApp heavily compresses them. But what if you want to send a PDF or a GIF?
The easiest way to circumvent these limitations is to use an app.We recommend one called CloudSend, which links to a Dropbox account and then creates short-link URLs to any type of file you want to share, in WhatsApp or elsewhere. Simply grab the app, hit the share menu for the file and choose CloudSend.
